Cheshire Hair & Makeup Artist: Re-Cycled

The second addtion to our 're-cycle series' was binbag catsuits in the urban location of Castlefield, Manchester! What a giggle, trying to tape the girls in to binbags restricted their movement, Sue was putting shoes and socks on for them, i was repairing torn seems. The outfits were a little worse for wear in the end but they did look pretty wicked for the purpose of the shoot. Special thanks goes to Leah and Nadine, as it was a bitterly cold and they were complete professionals, strutting their stuff one with a mohawk, the other with a high binbag ponytail and teamed with killer heels - they were a knockout. Passers by got more than they bargined for in the winter sales.

Cheshire Hair & Makeup Artist: Christmas Fashion

Well, i have to say a special thank you to Sue & Pamela for a great shoot today. This shoot had been planned for a while but we have just never got around to doing it - thankfully the snow making an appearence spurred us on...

Pamela braved the cold in a dress made of Christmas wrapping paper, teamed with a towering hair piece and giant candy cane made by my own fair hand and i think our little team achieved some great results. Let me kno what you think.

Machester Hair & Makeup Artist: Palace Hotel

I was asked to be involved at an event at the Palace Hotel in Manchester and had the choice of what looks to create. The vintage 80's wedding dresses reminded me of 'gone with the wind' which WAS where my inspiration started, but creativity got the better of me and i just had to go a little avant guard. The hair took a while to build up and it was quite heavy - but Clare managed it jsut the same  and was really pleased with the results.

I had a last minute booking for  jewellery company Mara, creator Smita Mistry created some beautiful pieces she wanted images of and i was lucky enough to jump on board and do the hair and makeup! I particularly loved this piece, a necklace of pearls and finished with a gold encrusted clasp, so pretty...

Beautiful gold and red autumn leaves meant we couldn't resist braving the cold and doing an outdoor boudoir shoot. Marta and photographer Sue Westwood-Ruttledge had to work fast in the cold, occasionally popping back in for a cuppa to keep warm (ish) but the stunning background teamed with lingerie, chunky knits and winter boots looked amazing. I had my own pregnancy shoot this morning courtesy of Sue Westwood-Ruttledge, we decided to go for something a little different than the traditional 'bump' shoot. I can highly recommend Sue, I was pretty much naked in a wheelbarrow, in the middle of a cornfield and felt completely at ease.

Heavily pregnant with her man suited in his military uniform Danni's wedding to Dan tied the knot. A shot from their pre-wed shoot welcomed you on arrival at Chorlton Golf Club ready for guests to sign and trays ladened with pimms - the nicest i've ever tasted... yes even i got a glass in the lovely sunshine, Danni had asked me to stay a while after the wedding for hair and makeup touch-ups in between photos.

I was very well looked after, having the images done were a giggle, leaving them to enjoy their wedding day with family and friends and eager await the birth of their little boy x

As tranquil as she looks Sher was freezing, lay in an 8ft paddling pool of cold water (it was just too big for me to fill it warm) So Sher braved it. Dressed in a boobtube of robe, a huge hair piece decorated with a shell necklace, vibrant makeup finished with mother of pearl and diamonties, Sher took a deep breath and lay back in to the pool.

Weeks of searching and organising pulled off an amazing shoot with 6 photographers including Sue, Kate and Andy 4 models and me! Some amazing lingerie was supplied by What Lyes Beneath, Bramhall  who also supply some stunning bikinis and sun dresses.

The night before we were let down by 2 models and to add insult to injury the 2 replacements also turned out to be a bit of  flop - but i still pulled it off. Thankfully, my friend Holly of  Dream Dress Bridal stepped in to save the day! Thank you Holly! Her images actually served as a lovely present for her hubby-to-be on the morning of her wedding.

The shoot was held at the Velvet Hotel in Manchester, which is stuning, one of the visually stunning hotels i've had the pleasure of working in, boasting rooms with grand beds, drapes from floor to ceiling, some with roll top baths, some with a chaise. Good thing is you can view the actual rooms on the gallery and request it on your booking. We still got some amazing images...
